Gruyere Mac and Cheese Grilled Cheese
This Gruyere Mac and Cheese Grilled Cheese is a delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, featuring the creamy goodness of mac and cheese with the nutty flavor of Gruyere cheese. Its the ultimate comfort food indulgence
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup Gruyere cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup macaroni and cheese prepared
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each bread slice
In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Gruyere cheese, prepared macaroni and cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Place a slice of cheddar cheese on the unbuttered side of one bread slice
Spread the Gruyere and macaroni mixture evenly on top of the cheddar cheese slice
Place the second bread slice on top, buttered side facing up
Heat a skillet or pan over medium-low heat
Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side
Remove from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, then cut the sandwich in half
