Potatoes in Praline Pecan Sauce
This decadent dish combines tender potatoes with a rich and nutty praline pecan sauce, creating a delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors.
Ingredients:
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions:
When the potatoes are soft enough to pierce with a fork, drain them and set them aside
Melt the butter over medium-low heat in a saucepan
Put in the chopped pecans and toast them for two to three minutes, until they smell good
Add the heavy cream, salt, cinnamon, and brown sugar and mix well
Stir the mixture all the time as you cook it for about 5 minutes, or until the sugar is gone and the sauce gets a little thicker
Before you add the boiled potatoes to the pan, give them a gentle stir so that the praline pecan sauce covers them all
Serve hot, and if you want, top with extra pecans
