Soft Gingerbread Cookie Bars
Sometimes you want the warm spices and comforting tastes of gingerbread but dont have time to make regular cookies. These soft gingerbread cookie bars are perfect for you. When you add white chocolate chips to gingerbread, they make it taste even better with their sweet flavor.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C
Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper
In a large bowl, mix together melted butter, sugar, molasses, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined
Add flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg to the wet ingredients mixture
Stir until just combined
Fold in white chocolate chips until evenly distributed
Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly firm to the touch
Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares
