Sesame-Miso Roasted Carrots
These roasted carrots with sesame and miso are a tasty side dish that goes with any meal. When you mix miso, sesame, and maple syrup together, you get a savory and slightly sweet glaze that brings out the natural sweetness of the carrots. It is gluten-free and tastes great with Asian flavors
Ingredients:
- 1 lb carrots, peeled and trimmed
- 2 tablespoons white miso paste
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons gluten-free soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Turn on the oven and heat it up to 400F 200C
Butter, soy sauce, maple syrup, garlic, salt, and pepper should all be mixed together in a small bowl with a whisk
Print out some parchment paper and put it on a baking sheet
Add the miso mixture to the carrots and toss to cover them completely
Put the carrots in an oven that has already been heated and roast them for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring them once or twice during that time
Before you serve the roasted carrots, sprinkle them with sesame seeds
