Pure Ella Gluten-free Vegan Chocolate Donuts
Ingredients:
- 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
Instructions:
Grease a donut pan and preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius
The gluten-free all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, coconut sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt should all be combined in a sizable mixing bowl
To the dry ingredients, add the melted coconut oil, unsweetened applesauce, almond milk, and vanilla extract
Mix thoroughly until fully incorporated
Mix the plant-based chocolate chips into the batter thoroughly
Pour the batter into each cavity of the greased donut pan, filling it to about 3/4 of the way
A toothpick inserted into a donut should come out clean after baking for 15 to 18 minutes in a preheated oven
The donuts should be taken out of the oven and given a few minutes to cool in the pan before being transferred to a wire rack to finish cooling
After the donuts cool completely, you can choose to either dust them with cocoa powder or drizzle them with melted dairy-free chocolate
