Skinny Grilled Cheese
A healthier take on the classic grilled cheese sandwich with reduced-fat cheese and whole wheat bread for a lighter, guilt-free treat.
Ingredients:
- 2 slices whole wheat bread
- 2 slices reduced-fat cheese
- 1 tsp olive oil cooking spray
- 1 tsp low-fat butter spread
Instructions:
Place one slice of reduced-fat cheese between the two slices of whole wheat bread to form a sandwich
Lightly spread the low-fat butter on the outside of the sandwich
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and spray with olive oil cooking spray
Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until the bread turns golden brown and the cheese melts, approximately 2-3 minutes per side
Remove from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, and then cut into halves or quarters
Serve hot and enjoy your skinny grilled cheese
